ONE YOGA  200 Hr. TEACHER TRAINING COURSE

Our next Teacher Certification Course begins March 11th, 2012 and includes two modules of training and personal mentoring support. Upon completion in May, you will meet all the requirements of the Yoga Alliance teacher registration.
In this innovative training, you will learn an eclectic and non-dogmatic blend of classic and contemporary Hatha Yoga practices inspired by the lineage of Krishnamacharya. In the spirit of these sacred healing arts you will learn creative and therapeutic applications of the practices to share with your clients and students at all levels, to empower them to experience more freedom and health in their lives. In this training, you will learn the core strength, breath and body mechanics that are important to understanding the safe practice and teaching of asana. In addition, we will bridge basic training with integrative wellness practices that enable a teacher to bring Yoga to different people with needs not typically addressed in an open class. We will share Yoga as a science of inner transformation, using current research that will give you a deeper understanding of the brain/mind/heart system. We give our students tools to work with the very real things that touch so many of us at challenging times and transitions in our lives -  chronic pain, stress and trauma, etc. You will learn inspiring and useful body/mind tools that support mindfulness, emotional balance and physical resilience. We integrate new scientific research with ancient time-tested tradition in a soulful program that will inspire a quantum leap in your understanding, personal practice and your work with others. Join us on this journey to the Heart of Yoga.

The Purpose of the Course

The Teachings of Yoga are a treasure that have more value and
relevance than ever in our changing and challenging times. In this
course, we distill Yogic wisdom in ways that are practical, relevant and
essential for the evolution of our being and becoming. At these times of
crisis/revolution in health care, scientific research increasingly supports
the healing power of Yoga and Mindfulness practices for a long list of
modern dis-eases and stresses. This creates a tremendous opportunity
to offer Yoga to more people as a tool for mental, emotional and
physical health and healing for every stage of life. Our intention in this
Yoga Education program is giving students an understanding that helps
them provide sustainable community wellnes service, support and
leadership. We are committed to mentoring each student on their
individual path of personal growth and expansion, helping them to
reach their potential and be an example to others.

Who Should Take Advantage of This Opportunity?

The One Yoga Teacher Training is for any Yoga practitioner who has a desire to deepen their understanding of themselves and their body, mind and heart and learn to create a personal practice that is just right for their changing needs and the needs of their clients and students. Sincerity and an openness to learn are more important than the amount of experience you have had with yoga. Those completing this training will be qualified and prepared to teach Yoga privately or in a group setting, inspiring and assisting people to help themselves. The course is also perfect for health professionals and those in the healing arts who want to expand their skills and offer a more comprehensive health care service to their clients. The program is wonderful for Yoga teachers who have had some training, yet want to deepen their study to include more therapeutic applications and meditation and bring yoga education to the community in a broader way. Whether you goal is to teach one-on-one or group classes, or commit more deeply to your own personal practice, this training will give you insights and skills that will benefit your life in positive and profound ways for years to come. If you are ready to take your practice, your perspective, and your life to a new level  – and have the support you need to do so  – Join us! ‘When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts

break their bonds;  your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every
direction and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world. Dormant forces,
faculties, and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person
by far that you ever dreamed yourself to be.’
