Shelagh Lampshire, LMT
Shelagh Lampshire, LMT, is the Director of MSTM. She teaches Anatomy and Physiology, Anatomy & Kinesiology, Clinical Practice Skills and Assessment, Neuromuscular Therapy,and Treatments of Common Conditions. She also teaches review classes for State and National exams. Shelagh graduated with a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Stanford University and received her certification as a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist from the California College of Ayurveda in 2004. Her practice integrates Aston Kinetics, Structural Bodywork, and Lymphatic Drainage Massage.

Frances Salvato, LMT
Frances Salvato, B.S., LMT, is Education Director and maintains her practice in the Faculty Clinic. She has been teaching massage and bodywork since 1994. A recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the Illinois chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association for outstanding performance as a massage educator, Frances is formerly Director of Education at the Chicago School of Massage Therapy where she was also a lead instructor in anatomy, kinesiology, pathology, ethics and techniques. A 1994 graduate of the Chicago School,Frances has advanced training in Structural Integration, Myofascial Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Sports Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Oncology Massage and Energy work. She teaches a variety of topics in the Diploma, Specialty and Advanced programs. Frances has helped thousands of students become professional massage therapists. She has a B.S. in Speech from Northwestern University.
Lynn Wind, RMT, LMT
Lynn Wind is an internationally renowned teacher and massage therapist with over 30 years of experience in a wide range of therapeutic modalities. Originally trained in Ontario, Canada,
Lynn founded and directed the Hawaiian Islands School of Massage on the Big Island for 22 years. Lynn is a dynamic teacher with unparalleled depth and breadth of knowledge and we are excited to welcome her as a teacher and featured presenter in MSTM’s Specialty and Advanced Certification Programs. Lynn has been inducted into Massage Therapy Hall of Fame, and offers a variety of advanced courses through MSTM including Myofascial Mobilization, Joint Play Mobilization, Lymphatic Drainage Massage – various components of the Lynn Wind Method of Integrated Medical Massage.
Raphiell Nolin, LMT
Raphiell has been practicing massage since 1980, working in chiropractic and physical therapy clinics, resort spas and private practice. He has been on the faculty of MSTM since its opening in 1995. He teaches Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Spa Treatments, Hot Stones, Treatments of Common Conditions and Business Practices. Raphiell is a supervisor in our Student Clinic and Community Outreach program. He also offers treatments to the public in our Faculty Clinic.

Rich Nelson, LMT, BCST
Rich Nelson has been teaching massage and bodywork since 1994. With a degree in general psychology and seven years as Director of Education for an international school of therapeutic bodywork, Rich has coordinated educational programs on a national level. His practice integrates Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy with Myofascial Release, Trigger-Point Therapy and Deep Tissue. He has also provided HIV continuing education programs for a variety of professionals. He is gifted at teaching complex material in a way that enables students to reach their full potential.
Jeana Iwalani Naluai, MPT, LMT
Jeana is a native Hawaiian committed to perpetuating her culture through the healing arts.
She is currently a licensed Physical Therapist and Massage Therapist, as well as a certified Clinical Lomi Lomi instructor in the lineage of Aunty Margaret Machado and Dr. Maka’ala Yates.
Jeana is the owner of Hale Ho’omana Spa Retreat in Makawao where she runs her private practice and opens her retreat space to all modalities encouraging education in universal consciousness.
Kurt Miyajima, LMT
Kurt is a certified Tai Chi, Qi Gong, & Longevity Breathing instructor on island with over 29 years of study & training. He is also a graduate of MSTM and a Licensed Massage Therapist.
Kurt teaches Qi Gong within the program, is a Clinical Supervisor, and teaches technique in the Massage Technique course, as well as Neuromuscular Therapy.
He has taught publicly on Maui since 1991 for various groups & private organizations, ranging from luxury resorts to state funded organizations, medical clinics & groups, senior communities, spiritual groups, and private tutoring as well. He has performed in numerous public demonstrations, for private organizations, and has made several television appearances.
Susan L. Currie, LMT

T. J. Frank, L.Ac., M.Ac.O.M
T. J. Frank is an internationally renowned body worker with over 14 years of experience in western biomedicine, and 14 years of experience in Oriental Bodywork Therapy. He is nationally certified in herbology, acupuncture, bodywork, and auricular detox therapy. His sessions are a combination of Zen Shiatsu massage and acupuncture. He teaches Introduction to Acupressure and offers a full 50-hour Zen Shiatsu training course for those interested in becoming practitioners.
